Dear parents and carers,
Welcome to the 2022 school year. We look forward to partnering with you in your child’s learning journey this year.
The staff of Carinya school trust that you and your families had a refreshing summer break and look forward helping our students grow in confidence, knowledge and independence.
I would like to advise you of some initiatives that will help us be safe this year for students enrolled in Schools for Specific Purposes such as Carinya.
Staff and Students will be provided with Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) for daily use. You should notify the school if your child has a positive result.
All students and staff will be required to wear surgical masks at school. (Material and vented masks are not permissible)
RAPID ANTIGEN TESTS
Parents and carers can pick up their RA Tests from school on Friday 28th from 12 pm or Monday 31st from 10 Am
Please drive into the school and staff will provide you with your child’s 2 week supply (10 tests)
If your child has difficulty with the Nasal tests there are some Saliva based kits available- please contact the office.
MASKS
Surgical grade masks will be required to be worn by students on site. Material and vented masks are not to be worn at school.
If your child forgets to bring a surgical mask, the school will supply them with one.
If you have any concerns please contact the school.
Regards and best wishes for 2022
